The Employability Kirklees Pilot Project started in September 2018 and is being run with two separate cohorts. Initially as a 12 week course.
Tuesdays a cohort of 14 adults with a learning disability. Adults aged 18 -35, not in education, or employment.
Wednesdays a cohort of 12 Foundation Level 3 Students from Kirklees College. Aged 16-18, with moderate learning difficulties / ADHD.
Sessions were held at Shelley Football Club, with the exception of the Stadium Tour at Huddersfield Town AFC.

Additional input has been brought in for delivery of catering training, first aid, movement and games in chairs, and stewarding.
In addition to the course content above, students were given travel training over a number of weeks to familiarise them with the route to Storthes Hall Campus, from Huddersfield Town Centre.
Throughout the 12 weeks, students were offered the opportunity to volunteer at Shelley FC games, and at events run by Huddersfield Town Foundation.
The Leslie Sports Foundation (Shelley CFC), DSY, and HTAFC Foundation are planning to run the course again, starting in September 2019, this time with a one year course. LCD involvement to be confirmed.
The course will again be held at Shelley F.C.
The priority age group will be adults with a disability, not in education or employment.
